If you’re tired of having the age-old sweet or salted plain lassi, then we have got some exciting recipes to refresh your taste buds keeping in mind your desire to stay healthy as well. Lassi is a traditional Indian drink made with a yogurt base and aromatic spices which can be either sweet or savory. According to Ayurveda, turmeric acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps to keep stomach acid from getting out of control. This magical spice also has a soothing effect on the bowels, calming them down and allowing them to function properly. Banana adds potassium, a critical mineral needed for electrolyte balance.



  • 1 ripe banana (freeze it)
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric, ground
  • Ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey



  • Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender until smooth. Simple!
