  • Common herbs used for treating osteoarthritis are Shallaki (Boswellia serrata), Rasna (Pluchea ), lanceolata), Guggul (Commiphora mukul), Ashwagandha (withania somnifera), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), etc.

Diet and Lifestyle

  • Carbonated drinks, packaged and preserved foods, or cold and dry items should be avoided.
  • Walking, yoga and swimming are recommended.
  • Do some exercise daily but do not overdo it. Also, do not sit idle for a long time. Use your joints.
  • Do not get obese and maintain your weight. Do not be underweight too.
  • Easy to digest and warming food should be consumed.
  • Do not uphold natural sensations such as releasing gas, burping and urinating.
